Over the span of 60 years, Bangkok University has persistently adapted to meet the demands of the times, witnessing Thailand’s social evolution from its developmental era to financial bubbles, globalization, the emergence of the 3G-4G-5G eras, and beyond. Our curricula, teaching methods, facilities, technology, and environment have all undergone a profound evolution, guided by our unwavering belief in “designing the future with your own passion.”

Let’s journey back to the beginning.

Founded by Dr. Surat Osathanugrah (former chairman of the O. A. N. Photo Association and former vice president of the Thai Photographic Society) and Dr. Pongtip Osathanugrah, with Dr. Charoen Kantawong as its inaugural dean.

During that era of national development, most young individuals aspired to serve in government roles. Nevertheless, these forward-thinking pioneers recognized the pivotal role of private organizations in the country’s progress. They were firmly committed to producing skilled and qualified personnel for Thailand’s private sector. Ever since that historic day, the university has experienced steady growth, ultimately evolving into the prestigious institution it is today, known as ‘Bangkok University’ in the year 2527 (1984).

In the present day, Bangkok University stands as a distinguished institution, taking a prominent role in shaping the current era. Our commitment to cultivating generations of graduates, equipped with quality, creativity and an entrepreneurial spirit, has forged them into vital agents of progress in Thai society, adept at navigating the continuously shifting global environment.
